ABOUT EOLE

Why recycle e-waste?

For over 13 years, End of Life Electronics Midwest, Inc. has provided computer and electronics recycling services for central Indiana. Although, our primary focus is Indianapolis and surrounding counties, our services stretch nationally. Registered as an e-waste facility (29-01 EW), with the Indiana Dept. of Environmental Management (IDEM), EOLE Midwest provides all levels of government, companies, educational institutions, not for profits, and individuals  with an environmentally safe, cost effective service for recycling their e-waste; including obsolete computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, copiers, televisions and consumer e-waste. All acceptable items can be found on our acceptable list.

- End-of-life-electronics is the fastest growing portion of America’s solid waste stream, it is growing three times faster than other types of municipal waste.  E-waste represents just 2% of the trash in US landfills, yet it represents 70% of toxic waste.

- According to the UN, over 112,000 computers are thrown away DAILY.

- Some obsolete electronics can create environmental hazards and legal liabilities if they are disposed of improperly. With more than four pounds of lead in most TV picture tubes or computer monitors, along with other potentially hazardous materials, electronics call for special handling at the end of their lives.
